Features of the house in the village

This house made of stone has a private courtyard with car port and is sited in a hystorical village, where there is no car traffic, at 395 meters above sea level in the vicinity of Marsciano (about 9kms).  You can easily enter the house via the car port which is sited along the external walls of the castel or via the main entrance in a typical alleway. A beautiful panoramic terrace of 50 sqms offers the possibility to enjoy the nice weather in the open air.

Description

The house is on three levels. The main entrance leads you to a small corridor with bar corner, a study room and the sitting room with fireplace. Three steps lead to the first bedroom and to a bathroom fitted with marble. A wooden staircase in the sitting room leads to the floor above made of large landing, bedroom with fireplace and a bathroom. Another  staircase in the sitting room leads to the floor below where there are a kitchen, working area, large lunch room and access to the terrace. The car port can be reached internally via a staircase in the sitting room.

Outdoor area

The terrace of about  50 sqms  is all paved and it offers a very panorami view of the surrounding country side.

Surroundings

This ancient village (an old castle) is sited in the so called Mid Valley of Tiber.  The splendid village constructed on the old castle which dates back to the first century B.C. dominates the whole of the Mercatello valley, not far from Marsciano. The latter is sited exactly along the ancient regal path bound for Rome and it coincides with one of the “five fingers” or main countryside roads: it is basically a path that runs on top of the mounts so far from the Tiber valley and therefore untouched in its natural and hystorical aspects, still nowadays pointed with little medieval villages, castels and rural set ups.

Perugia  is about 26 kms , Todi 36 kms , Assisi 45 kms , Florence 166 kms, Rome about  164 kms . The international airport of  Sant’Egidio is 35 kms, Fiumicino Airport  about 205 kms.
